CHILD SEAT REQUIREMENTS IN EUROPE

Regulations and seat fittings in Europe for child seats and restraints differ from those in Australia.

The European regulation and mounting system is known as ISOFIX and the seats in Australia do not have ISOFIX mountings on them and will therefore not be acceptable for the European regulations and vehicles.

You will need to choose a seat according to the child’s age and  weight.

In France all children under 10 years must be in a child restraint, based on their weight.

A range of child seats are available for purchase as accessories from  Renault ,Citroen and Peugeot – Please ask for details and pricing.

Accessories must be requested at time of booking.  Accessories are purchased not hired. No Refunds or buy-back available on return of vehicle.

Documentation required to cross borders in Europe:- The documents you are given when you take delivery of your car – the vehicle registration document (grey card), car insurance and Warranty booklet and your identity papers (Passport, international driver’s licence) suffice to cross European borders. However, you may need to purchase a special disc to travel in certain countries.
